Evangelism
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, greetings and may all of God's blessings fall upon you. It's that time again when the Evangelism Team kicks off our FRANgelism, (FRAN Plan), in order to bring as many new people to know and understand the abundant love and grace of God, thru Jesus our Lord and Savior.
For both 8:30 and 11:00 services, FRANgelism Sundays will be September 28th, October 5th, 12th and 19th. The letters in FRAN stands for Friends, Relatives, Associates and Neighbors. Notice the plural after each letter.
September 28th = F
October 5th = R
October 12th = A
October 19th = N
Remember, the fundamental way we fulfill our mission is to reach out to people in the name of Jesus Christ, to relate people to God, to nurture and strengthen them in their journey of discipleship, and to send them into the world to be the Church - inviting and receiving others in the name of Jesus Christ. Let's have fun with this for our Lord and Savior, Jesus, and God Bless you all.
In His love,
Billy Scott
Clowns for Christ

Camp Ground's Evangelism Committee had a desire for the congregation to extend its ministry beyond the church doors into the local community. They wanted a fresh way to reach people outside the conventional church setting, both individually as well as in groups. The idea of clown ministry was adopted after the committee realized that clowns can cross the barriers of age, gender, race, social class and language to share God's message of love and hope.
Clowns for Christ will follow Jesus' directive to "go into the world and make believers" by reaching out to people wherever they are and identifying with their feelings and emotions, sharing in a moment, promoting love, healing with laughter and touch and leaving behind a smile and unconditional love. The goal of the clown ministry is to glorify God in all that is done as they minister to others by sharing God's message. Being ambassadors for Christ, the clown troupe will extend their outreach to the Fayetteville community - visiting hospitals, nursing homes and shut-ins, homeless shelters, and daycares, and participating in other community activities. In a ministry that is fun for the participants - both giving and receiving - the Clowns for Christ will build an important outreach for Camp Ground UMC.
